I bought this car mount for my IPad 2 and when my husband seen it, he took it for his Android tablet. Works great mounted to the windshield. Stays in place, and easy to move. Now I have to order another one for me!

5.0 out of 5 stars I really like this!, October 4, 2011

I have this one and the custom one for the Galaxy Tab. I use this universal one for my HTC View Tablet. They both work great. They allow me to position the tablet in about the same area that the factory navigation is so it is in perfect viewing range. The construction is GREAT and because of how the arm can rest on your dash it keep pressure on the plunger end so it will not detach from your glass. I am very happy with this mount. The best I've found...and trust me, I've looked. I use the Galazy Tab version in my 2011 F250 and this one in my 2010 Ford Fusion.

2.0 out of 5 stars Will not stand on its own, December 3, 2011

This doesn't meet my needs. The tablet fits in the holder fine and the suction cup is good enough.

My problem is that the arm or the tablet must rest on your dashboard or something solid. The screw joint that connects the arm to the suction cup assembly does not have enough tension to let the tablet float freely. There are little teeth for grip but those teeth could be a lot deeper to hold more torque.

It would be a 4-star product. It loses a star for not having better teeth at that joint. It loses a second star for not explaining in the product description that it must rest on something and will not stand free with a tablet in the holder.
