At first I was worried that the suction cup wasnt enough until I found it had a cover I hadn't removed. Suction cups on this mount are better than I expected. The clips are almost just for backup. Suction isnt an issue, plenty and actually tough to get out of the mount at times. Tablet will only fit the narrower side of the tablet. The clips will not quite open wide enough so if you want to us it the higher way you will have to remove one of the clips but I don't see this being a problem because the suction cups are very good. Gtablet is about 10.6 inches and I think the mount only opens up to about 10 inches.I didn't give the mount a 5 star because it does shake as another review mentioned. Lightweight, strong adhesiveness to my dash, and secure. There were a few downfalls that I came across though. Satechi puts it on the box, but the sticky suction cup can leave some of the sticky residue on your tablet or phone, which isn't the best thing in the world. My solution was to use the cover for the suction cup that they gave me and just place my tablet over that. Secondly, I have a 8.9" LG G-slate, and even though this mount said 5-10" tablets, my tablet was a struggle to fit between the arms when both were completely horizontal and as far apart as possible. My guess is they meant that the whole tablet was 5-10", corner to corner. Fortunately, I was able to just rest my tablet on the arms, with the arms at an almost 90 degree angle, and the tablet is held pretty securely.
